Ask price definition

refers to the price that the market is prepared to sell a currency. At this price, a trader can buy the base currency. It is found on the right side of the quotation. For example, in the quote EUR/USD 1.2907, the ask price is 1.2909 which means traders pay 1.2909 EUR to buy 1 USD.
