Candlestick Charts definition

A graph method originally from Japan, where the highest and lowest prices are referred to as wicks (or shadows). The price range between the opening and closing prices is indicated as a narrow rectangle and is often referred to as a candle (or body). If the closing price is above the opening, the candle is white, if the closing price is below the opening, the candle is black.
