AI cryptocurrencies
Leading artificial intelligence tokens ranked by market capitalisation
AI cryptocurrencies are the tokens behind projects that connect blockchain with artificial intelligence — from decentralised compute networks and data marketplaces to so-called AI agents. Below you'll find a list of leading AI tokens ranked by market capitalisation, with the current price and 24-hour and 7-day change.
AI cryptocurrency rankings
The table ranks AI tokens by market capitalisation — the big names like Bittensor, Render and Chainlink sit at the top, with smaller and riskier projects further down. For each one you'll see the price and how it has moved over a day, a week and a year. You can open up the rest of the list below the table.
Don’t invest unless you’re prepared to lose all the money you invest. This is a high-risk investment and you should not expect to be protected if something goes wrong. Understand the risks.

What are AI cryptocurrencies?
AI cryptocurrencies (AI tokens) power projects at the intersection of blockchain and artificial intelligence. These include decentralised compute and GPU networks (Render, Akash), machine-learning and data marketplaces (Bittensor, Fetch.ai), oracles (Chainlink) and platforms for AI agents. The token typically pays for network usage, staking or protocol governance.
The sector is closely tied to developments in artificial intelligence, which makes it volatile — it can rise and fall faster than the wider market. Market caps range from billions of dollars (Chainlink, Bittensor) down to small, high-risk tokens. The table ranks projects by market capitalisation, so the largest and most liquid names sit at the top.
Before you invest in AI cryptocurrencies
AI tokens are among the most volatile part of the crypto market. This page is an informational overview of market data, not investment advice. Neither market cap nor past performance predicts future price movements — only invest what you can afford to lose.
AI cryptocurrencies worth a closer look
AI tokens usually play one or more of three roles. As a means of payment they cover the cost of a given AI platform's services, and locking them up (staking) earns you better terms. As a governance tool they give holders a say in where the project heads next. And finally they reward participation — users who improve the network, say by contributing computing power or data to train algorithms. It's that last role that sets AI tokens apart from Bitcoin or Ethereum.
The projects below currently lead the AI cryptocurrency rankings by market capitalisation. The market shifts quickly, though — after the merger of Fetch.ai, Ocean Protocol and SingularityNET into the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance, and with the arrival of so-called AI agents, it looks rather different than it did a year ago.
Bittensor (TAO)
A decentralised machine-learning network in which individual 'subnets' compete and are rewarded according to how much their models contribute — the idea loosely echoes Bitcoin mining, except that intelligence is 'mined' instead of hashes. The TAO token is used to incentivise the network, and Bittensor is now among the most closely watched and most valuable AI projects around.
Render (RENDER)
A network for sharing spare graphics-card (GPU) power. Owners of idle cards rent out their computing power to creators who render 3D graphics or train AI models. With demand for AI-capable GPUs on the rise, it's one of the more practical use cases sitting between AI and crypto.
Chainlink (LINK)
A leading oracle network that feeds verified real-world data into smart contracts. It isn't an 'AI project' as such, but it's essential infrastructure for AI applications in DeFi that rely on trustworthy input data — think predictive models or automated risk assessment.
NEAR Protocol (NEAR)
A fast, scalable blockchain whose founders come from a strong AI background. NEAR is increasingly positioning itself as a platform for AI applications and autonomous agents that act on their own on-chain, driven by data.
The Graph (GRT)
A decentralised protocol for indexing data from blockchains. It doesn't use AI itself, but its infrastructure matters for applications — AI ones included — that need quick access to large volumes of on-chain data. It's widely used across the Ethereum, Polygon and other ecosystems.
Akash Network (AKT)
A decentralised marketplace for computing power — a kind of 'cloud' with no central provider. Developers rent servers here for less than they'd pay the big cloud platforms, and increasingly it's AI workloads running on them.
Artificial Superintelligence Alliance (FET)
An alliance formed by merging Fetch.ai, Ocean Protocol and SingularityNET under a single FET token. It brings together decentralised AI services, data marketplaces and so-called autonomous economic agents — software that trades on its own, optimises supply chains or manages energy. Fetch.ai has held partnerships with the likes of Bosch, among others.
The AI cryptocurrency sector is fascinating, but still young and fast-moving. As with any investment, the same rules apply: do your own research, understand what a project actually does, and expect plenty of volatility.
Frequently asked questions
Which are the best AI cryptocurrencies?+
The largest artificial intelligence tokens by market cap include Bittensor (TAO), Render (RENDER), Chainlink (LINK), NEAR, The Graph (GRT), Akash (AKT) and Artificial Superintelligence Alliance (FET, formerly Fetch.ai). You'll find the full ranking in the list above.
How is the AI cryptocurrencies list ordered?+
Projects are ordered by market capitalisation — from the largest, most liquid tokens down to smaller ones. Classification into the artificial intelligence category is based on CoinGecko's data.
Are AI cryptocurrencies a good investment?+
There's no guarantee. AI tokens offer high growth potential, but also above-average risk and volatility. The list is meant for tracking the market, not as a buy recommendation.
